The Brunswick County Planning Board will review two large residential proposals when it meets on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Chambers of the Sandifer Administration Building, located at 30 Government Center Drive, Bolivia, NC 28422.

The meeting is open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend.

The Cherrytree Planned Development outlines a community of 1,000 single‑family homes across approximately 741 acres, creating an overall density of 1.35 dwelling units per acre. The project remains under Old Business as the board continues its review of the proposal’s layout, scale, and compatibility with surrounding development patterns.

The Mirasol Planned Development includes 195 single‑family homes and 145 townhome units on roughly 88.8 acres near St. James, with an overall density of 3.83 dwelling units per acre. The applicant, Development Resource Group, LLC, is seeking site plan approval for the project, which spans four parcels along Southport‑Supply Road (NC 211). The proposal returns to the board for further evaluation of its design, residential mix, and overall fit within the NC 211 corridor.

Residents can find the full agenda and additional meeting materials through the county’s planning department website.
