Nonprofit’s mobile unit offers no‑cost laundry, showers, and hygiene support
Brunswick County. NC — A regional nonprofit is continuing to bring free laundry and hygiene support to residents through rotating mobile service days.
Suds of Love, a North Carolina–based 501(c)(3), operates a 30‑foot truck equipped with washers, dryers, a shower, and hygiene supplies for individuals and families who lack access to basic cleaning facilities.
The mobile unit visits Brunswick County through partnerships with churches, community groups, and local service organizations. Service days are announced by host sites, and all services, including laundry, showers, toiletries, and hygiene kits are provided at no cost. No identification or paperwork is required.
Services are always available at no cost, to anyone in needed.
Volunteers assist with sign‑in, loading and folding laundry, and preparing the shower area between uses. Clients may stay on‑site or return later depending on the host location’s guidelines. The nonprofit also deploys for disaster‑relief needs when requested.
Organizations interested in hosting a service day can coordinate directly with Suds of Love. More information is available, Suds of Love NC
