Cyber tip lead to two felony charges against Myrtle Beach man
HORRY COUNTY, SC — The Horry County Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit has arrested Travis John Sivertsen, 25, on two charges connected to an online child‑exploitation investigation.
According to investigators, the case began with a cyber tip that led detectives to a social media account allegedly used by Sivertsen. The investigation revealed communication and distribution of sexually explicit material involving a minor.
Sivertsen is charged with 2nd Degree sexual exploitation of a minor and with obscene or unlawful dissemination of obscene material to a person under 18 years of age. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details have been released.
