CHADBOURN MAN ARRESTED FOR CONSPIRACY, BREAKING AND ENTERING, AND METHAMPHETAMINE POSSESSION

Chadbourn, NC — A multi-agency style investigation into local property crimes has culminated in the afternoon arrest of a Chadbourn resident on theft, conspiracy, and narcotics charges.

On July 14, at 2:54 PM, law enforcement personnel arrested 53-year-old John Warren Richardson of Old 74 Highway, Chadbourn. Authorities connected Richardson to a local break-in and subsequent theft, while also discovering felony-level narcotics during the booking process.

Richardson faces multiple charges, including Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Larceny, Breaking and or Entering, and Felony Conspiracy.

He was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center under a $50,000.00 secured bond. Investigators are continuing to look into whether additional suspects were involved in the conspiracy.
