Free Vet Care for Pets of People Experiencing Homelessness This Saturday in Wilmington

Street Dog Coalition — Vital Veterinary Services 

WILMINGTON, NC — The Street Dog Coalition will host a free veterinary care clinic on Saturday, January 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at The Rescue Mission of Cape Fear, located at 502 Castle Street.

The pop-up clinic is open to individuals experiencing homelessness who have pets in need of care.

Services include physical exams, core vaccinations (including rabies and parvo), flea and tick prevention, spay/neuter vouchers, and pet food and supplies when available. All services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies and time allow. Families may bring up to three pets; dogs must be leashed and cats must be in carriers.

This event is made possible through collaboration with Furever Friends Animal Rescue of Brunswick County, Vigilant Hope, Capeside Animal Hospital, The Rescue Mission of Cape Fear, and Paws Pantry.
