Brunswick County, NC — The Brunswick County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation, has awarded $9,210 in grants to eight local nonprofit organizations supporting community needs across the county.
This year’s awards were made from the foundation’s community grantmaking fund and the US Open King Mackerel Tournament Fund. Grants ranged from $500.00 to $2,500.00
Recipients include Brunswick County Habitat for Humanity ($2,500), Brunswick Family Assistance ($1,500), Cedar Grove Improvement Association ($1,000), Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear ($1,000), Family Support Network of Southeastern North Carolina ($1,000), The Healing Place of New Hanover County ($1,000), South Brunswick Interchurch Council’s Lord’s Food Pantry ($710), and Suds of Love Truck ($500).
The Brunswick County Community Foundation was established in 1997 and is led by a volunteer advisory board. The North Carolina Community Foundation manages more than 1,300 charitable endowments statewide.
