The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual pictured in connection with a larceny investigation at the Dollar General located at 4248 Swamp Fox Highway East, Tabor City.
Deputies responded to the store on June 5, 2026, after an employee reported that a male entered the business and allegedly concealed multiple air fresheners in his coat pockets before attempting to leave. The individual later returned to the store, and when confronted by an employee, left without further incident.
Detectives are requesting assistance from the public in identifying this individual. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office at 910.642.6551. Tips may also be submitted through the Sheriff’s Office Submit-A-Tip.
This remains an active investigation. All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
