Pender County officials say two pharmacy burglaries reported about an hour apart Monday are likely linked.
SUPPLY, NC — Galloway Sands Pharmacy in Supply reported an early‑morning break‑in Monday, one of two pharmacy burglaries that occurred about an hour apart in Brunswick and Pender counties.
A manager at Galloway Sands confirmed the store was broken into around 4:30 a.m. Monday. Staff then were reviewing and documenting the pharmacies inventory to determine what items were targeted and stolen. No injuries were reported.
About an hour earlier, around 3:30 a.m., the Rocky Point Pavilion Pharmacy in Pender County was also broken into. Pender County Sheriff Alan Cutler said investigators have not yet confirmed what was stolen there.
Cutler said the two incidents are likely connected. He did not describe any suspects but said investigators are sharing information as the cases develop. Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has not released any public statement as of this hour of publication about the break‑in or whether its investigators are coordinating with Pender County.
Cutler also urged residents to be cautious with any medication they receive and to make sure they know its source.
