23‑year‑old arrested after deputies recover firearm; CCSO lists multiple related charges
WHITEVILLE, NC — A Whiteville man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after Columbus County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested him on June 11.
According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Jesus G. Rojas, 23, of 52 Caswell Sellers Drive, Whiteville, was taken into custody at 10:32 a.m. and charged with:
- Possession of a Weapon of Mass Destruction – $75,000 secured bond
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon – included in another bond
- Resisting a Public Officer – included in another bond
- Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle – $1,000 secured bond
CCSO lists the arresting agency as the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office. Rojas was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center and is classified as felony and misdemeanor / awaiting trial.
The sheriff’s office has not released additional details regarding the firearm involved or the circumstances leading to the arrest. No injuries were reported.
