WHITEVILLE — Deputies arrested Austin Ray Duncan, 26, of Hallsboro, early Thursday morning after responding to a trespassing complaint on Country Club Road.
According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, the victim, Sherry Devone Graham, 43, reported that Duncan had returned to her property despite previous warnings to stay away. Sgt. Drew Zehnder located Duncan around 6 a.m. and confirmed the suspect matched the description provided — 5’0″, 130 lbs, blond hair.
Duncan was charged with second‑degree trespass and booked into the Columbus County Detention Center, where records show he was held without bond.
The sheriff’s office noted that the case remains under review due to repeated complaints involving the same location.
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
