City to enforce 25 mph limit, new speed bumps, and 5‑ton vehicle restriction
BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC — The City of Boiling Spring Lakes announced that West Dam Road will reopen to traffic on July 6, marking a significant step forward in restoring access through the area.
City officials confirmed that speed bumps have been installed along the roadway to ensure drivers adhere to the posted 25 mph speed limit, which will be strictly enforced.
In addition to the speed restrictions, the City has implemented a maximum vehicular weight limit of 5 tons. Signs noting the weight limit have been placed at both ends of West Dam Road, and enforcement will begin immediately upon reopening.
Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department will be monitoring speed compliance and vehicle weight limits, and drivers are urged to remain mindful of all posted regulations when traveling through the area.
