Two Counties rally around grieving family as fundraiser launched to support their recovery
Leland, NC — A devastating early‑morning house fire in Brunswick County, claimed the lives of two young children and left their father and older sibling hospitalized critical condition.
The two little ones, Paisley, age 3, and her 1-1/2 year-old brother, Landon, did not survive the fire. Today would have been Paisley’s birthday, deepening the heartbreak felt across our counties.
Their 8-year-old sibling and their father remain in the hospital in critical condition. Father and daughter are continuing to fight for their lives.
This tragedy strikes especially close to home for Acme‑Delco‑Riegelwood Fire‑Rescue in Columbus County, having a family connection to one of the department’s own members. The department shared that moments like this are a painful reminder that behind every emergency call are real families, real lives, and real heartbreak.
