BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC — The NC Department of Transportation will shift traffic on NC 211 this week between the NC 906 (Midway Road/Middleton Boulevard) intersection and NC 133 (Long Beach Road), as construction continues on the widening project.
Weather permitting, crews will implement the new traffic pattern the night of July 16. All traffic will move onto the newly constructed future westbound lanes of NC 211.
Westbound travelers will use a new ramp and traffic signal to access NC 906. Eastbound travelers will continue to use the existing signal. The Regency Crossing entrance to St. James will close for approximately 30 days following the shift. Drivers within St. James should use the St. James Drive entrance during this period.

Temporary, signed access points will be in place for residences and businesses south of the highway in the following areas: Between Pinetop Drive and Pine Plantation Parkway and at West Trace Drive near NC 133.
Drivers should use caution when traveling through the work zone and check DriveNC.gov for real‑time traffic updates. Any rain or thunderstorms this week could delay the traffic shift.
