Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office investigates property theft case on Clearview Road

SUPPLY, NC — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has opened an investigation into a fraud case after a local resident reported being targeted in a false-pretense scheme.

On April 20, Deputy Jason Lowrance was dispatched to a residence on Clearview Road in Supply. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Gregory Patrick Noll, told investigators he was deceived during a transaction.

Law enforcement has classified the incident under North Carolina’s Obtain Property by False Pretense statute. This felony charge typically involves a person knowingly using a false token, confidence game, or other false pretense to obtain money, goods, or services with the intent to defraud.
