Summer Concert Season Returns to North Myrtle Beach with Music on Main and Sounds of Summer

Weekly and monthly outdoor concerts run June through September across two popular city venues

NMB, SC –– North Myrtle Beach is gearing up for another season of outdoor music as two of the city’s signature concert series return for summer 2026. Music on Main and Sounds of Summer will bring live performances to Main Street and the NMB Park & Sports Complex Amphitheater, offering residents and visitors a full lineup of free entertainment from June through September.

Music on Main begins next week at the Horseshoe on Main Street, where Thursday evenings transform into a beachfront block filled with dancing, singing, and steady crowds gathering just steps from the ocean. Concerts run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to bring their own beach chairs.

This year’s Music on Main schedule includes a mix of beach music, party bands, and regional favorites.

June features The Tonez on June 4, Swingin’ Medallions on June 11, Tru Sol on June 18, and Too Much Sylvia on June 25.

July continues with The Entertainers on July 2, Julio & The Saltines on July 9, Cassette Rewind on July 16, Chocolate Chip & Co. on July 23, and Thomas Road on July 30.

August brings Finesse on August 6, Jim Quick & Coastline on August 13, Thurston Howell on August 20, and The Embers featuring Craig Woolard on August 27.

The series closes in September with Black Glass on September 3, Envision on September 10, Chairmen of the Board on September 17, and Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot on September 24.

The Sounds of Summer series complements the weekly concerts with one show each month at the NMB Park & Sports Complex Amphitheater.

These performances run from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and feature tribute acts covering well-known artists and eras. Mama Mania, an ABBA tribute, opens the series on June 19. The Dave Matthews Tribute Band performs on July 17, followed by The Stranger, a Billy Joel tribute, on August 21. The season concludes September 18 with FJ, a Foreigner and Journey tribute act.

Both concert series are free to attend and open to all ages. Visitors are encouraged to bring chairs, bug spray, all your friends, and family as North Myrtle Beach launches another summer of live music across the city.
