Southport Animal Protective Services invites families to meet adoptable pets, enjoy vendors, and celebrate spring at Taylor’s Field Park on May 9th
Southport, NC — Families and animal lovers will have a lively new way to welcome the season as the City of Southport Animal Protective Services hosts its Spring Paws Festival on May 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Taylor’s Field Park, 409 E. Nash Street. The event blends the joy of spring and mom’s with the heartwarming mission of helping displaced pets find their forever loving homes.

The festival promises a cheerful afternoon filled with activities for all ages. Visitors can browse local craft vendors, enjoy a variety of food vendors, and take part in raffles and prizes throughout the day. One of the most popular attractions is expected to be the Pet & Family Photo Booth, giving families a chance to capture a keepsake moment with their pets against a festive spring backdrop.
At the heart of the event is a focus on pet adoptions, offering attendees the opportunity to “find their new best friend this spring.” Staff from Southport Animal Protective Services will be on-site to introduce adoptable pets and answer questions for anyone considering adding a furry companion to their home.
The Spring Paws Festival is designed to be both fun and meaningful – celebrating community, supporting vendors, and helping animals in need. Organizers encourage residents to stop by, enjoy the festivities, and meet the pets looking for a second chance on being your forever.
