Police respond to 3:30 p.m. incident inside Quail Marsh unit

MYRTLE BEACH, SC — One person is in custody, and another was taken to the hospital after a shooting inside an apartment at 2005 Greens Blvd., part of the Quail Marsh Apartments off 21st Avenue North. Myrtle Beach Police responded at approximately 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 4, for a report of a shooting inside a unit.

According to Myrtle Beach Police, the incident was contained to the apartment where the shooting occurred. No additional injuries or threats to the surrounding community were reported in the initial information released.

Authorities have not released the identities of either the suspect or the injured individual, and no details have been provided regarding a possible motive or relationship between the parties involved.

The investigation remains active.
