BOLTON, N.C. — Columbus County Sheriff’s deputies have launched a fraud investigation after a Bolton resident reported her Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card stolen and compromised.
Deputy Daniel Miesieski responded to a residence on Green Chapel Lane in Bolton around 1:01 p.m. on Friday. The victim reported that unauthorized activity occurred on her state benefits card.
The case remains under active investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, and no suspects have been formally identified.
