SHALLOTTE, NC – The Brunswick County Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge #53 officially welcomed and honored Shallotte’s newest top law enforcement officer during their monthly meeting on April 13, 2026.
Chief Jeremy Dixon was the evening’s guest of honor, where he was presented with a formal Plaque of Appointment in recognition of his new leadership role within the Shallotte Police Department. The ceremony highlighted the strong professional ties and mutual respect between the town’s police leadership and the regional law enforcement community.
The FOP Lodge #53 serves as a cornerstone for local officers, providing a network of support, advocacy, and community engagement. Chief Dixon took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of these partnerships in maintaining public safety and officer morale across Brunswick County.
Following the presentation, the department expressed deep gratitude for the organization’s ongoing commitment to those in uniform: “Many thanks to this amazing group for always supporting our local law enforcement agencies.”
As Chief Dixon continues his tenure, events like these reinforce the collaborative spirit between local government and the advocacy groups that support the men and women serving on the front lines.
