The city issued an alert on Friday notifying the public that a scheduled valve exercise program will necessitate a temporary suspension of water service on May 12.
According to municipal officials, the work is centered on Madison Street, but the nature of the utility network means the impact will be felt across several adjacent corridors. Residents living on or operating businesses along Madison, Lee, and Franklin Streets are most likely to experience a total loss of water pressure or significant service interruptions.
