Horry County, SC — The Horry County Fire Rescue are advising drivers to avoid the area of South Highway 701 and Lucas Bay Road, as lanes of traffic are currently blocked due to a two-vehicle crash with reported entrapment, one of the involved vehicles overturned.
Horry County Fire Rescue crews deployed extrication operations to remove the entrapped. Three people are being transported to the hospital with injuries at this time. Three people signed medical transport waivers.
HCFR was dispatched at 6:56 p.m. March5, 2026.
South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating. Horry County Police Department is assisting.
