Ruby Cartrette McDuffie, 86, of Chadbourn, died on Sunday morning, August 9, 2026 at Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Ruby was born on October 11, 1939, daughter of the late Dosier Lee Cartrette and Rosa Mae Norris Cartrette. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Sterling Cartrette.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Tyson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-10:45.
The surviving family includes a son, John F. McDuffie and wife, Angela; grandchildren, John Brandon McDuffie, Kara Faith McDuffie Christopher Ryan McDuffie; two loving great-grandchildren; siblings, Cathy Beck, Gwendolyn McKeithan, and Vickie Lee; host of loving extended family.
