Free‑meal Eventbrite promotion sold out; heavier traffic expected at US 17 and 17B on July 8–9

Shallotte, NC — Royal Farms will open its doors to Shallotte this week with a two‑day soft launch at its new store at 2811 Ocean Highway West, bringing the chain’s well‑known fried chicken and full‑service deli to one of Brunswick County’s busiest commercial intersections. The soft opening, scheduled for July 8 and July 9, offers a controlled preview ahead of the store’s full grand‑opening on July 13.
The company promoted the event on Facebook, offering one free individual meal to anyone who secured an Eventbrite ticket.
Those tickets reached capacity and are now sold out, signaling strong local interest in the brand’s arrival.
Ticketholders will receive a complimentary meal from the store’s deli. Royal Farms is asking participants to follow specific instructions to keep the event orderly: arrive five minutes before the time listed on the ticket, wait outside the store or in your vehicle until the time slot begins, and then proceed to the vestibule or side‑tent for direction from Royal Farms ambassadors. Children under 16 may attend with a guardian who also holds a ticket.
With the store positioned at the intersection of US 17 and NC 17 Business (17B) directly across from Chick‑fil‑A, drivers should expect increased congestion on July 8 and 9 as ticketholders arrive in scheduled time blocks and pedestrian activity increases around the site.
Coastal Carolina News first reported on the construction of the Shallotte Royal Farms earlier this year as the project took shape at one of the town’s most visible commercial corners. Read our original coverage.
