Waccamaw Siouan Tribe to host women’s empowerment and wellness event May 23
BOLTON, NC — The Waccamaw Siouan Tribe will welcome women and girls of all ages for Roots of Resilience: Tribal Women Rising on Saturday, May 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 7239 Old Lake Road in Bolton.
This gathering will focus on empowerment, connection, wellness, and self‑care, offering supportive for community members to learn, share, and celebrate resilience.
The event will feature health and self‑care resources, art and information vendors, activities, food, and prizes. Organizers say the day is designed to uplift tribal women and strengthen community ties through culture, creativity, and shared experience.
