Ronald Corlion Meares, 79, of Whiteville, passed away on Thursday evening, March 12, 2026, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.
Ronald was born on December 29, 1946, son of the late Roscoe Meares and Larue Davis Meares-Todd.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Worthington Funeral Home, with Pastor Ricky Donaldson and Pastor Danny Williams officiating.
The surviving family includes three children, Nicholas Lynn Meares, Gary Ronald Meares (Penny), Rebecca Ann Meares; grandchildren, Patrick James Baldwin (Hannah), Matthew Baldwin; great-grandchild, Bristol Elizabeth Baldwin; grand-dog, Peanut; beloved cat, Tippy; brother, Elvin Meares (Cathy); special family members, Brandon Wittiker, Faye Shaw Britt, James Shaw; two nieces, two nephews, and several loving cousins.
Family will be receiving friends at the home, on Thompson Town Road Whiteville.
