RIEGELWOOD — Traffic Stop Leads to Meth, Marijuana Seizure; Two Delco Residents Charged

RIEGELWOOD — A Wednesday night traffic stop on Highway 87 led to the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia, according to a Columbus County Sheriff’s Office report.

Deputy William Holden conducted the stop around 10 p.m. and identified two suspects:

  • Paul Gregory McKenzie, 57, of Delco
  • Michele Beth Kelly, 51, of Delco

Deputies recovered 0.80 grams of methamphetamine, 0.70 grams of marijuana, a glass smoking pipe, a straw with residue, a marijuana cigarette, and additional paraphernalia. A Ford F‑150 was also documented as part of the investigation.

McKenzie faces multiple charges, including felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of Schedule VI, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Kelly is charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
