WHITEVILLE — Law enforcement leaders from across southeastern North Carolina gathered at Vineland Station today for the Regional Quarterly Leadership Meeting, an event designed to strengthen cooperation among agencies both within and beyond county lines.

The meeting brought together representatives from multiple jurisdictions to share updates, discuss ongoing initiatives, and coordinate strategies that impact communities throughout the region. Officials emphasized that these quarterly sessions play a vital role in improving communication and building unified approaches to public safety challenges.
A special acknowledgment was given to Southport Police Chief Todd Coring, Oak Island Police Chief Charles A. Morris II, and the North Carolina Department of Insurance Regional Director, each of whom addressed the group. Their presentations focused on leadership, regional trends, and the importance of interagency collaboration.
Organizers expressed appreciation for the strong turnout and the continued commitment shown by participating agencies.
“We are grateful for the partnership and dedication from every department represented today,” officials said. “These relationships are essential to providing effective, coordinated service to the communities we all protect.”
The next regional leadership meeting is scheduled for later this year.
