Crews stop fast‑moving blaze on Frink Lake Drive; no injuries reported
Boiling Spring Lakes, NC — Boiling Spring Lakes Fire Rescue responded to a late‑night appliance fire caused significant damage to a home on Frink Lake Drive after flames rapidly extended into the attic.
Units and automatic‑aid partners were dispatched around 10:45 p.m. to the 2400 block of Frink Lake Drive for a reported structure fire involving a refrigerator. The first arriving chief officer found no visible fire from the exterior within three minutes of the alert, but conditions changed quickly as flames spread into the attic and intensified.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control in roughly 30 minutes, though the home sustained heavy damage. All occupants escaped safely, and no injuries were reported among residents or firefighters.
Investigators determined the fire was caused by a malfunctioning appliance. Fire personnel assisted the occupants on scene and afterward; the family stayed overnight at the department’s headquarters while coordinating with their insurance agent during an out‑of‑town trip.
