Supplement sold online nationwide – including to North Carolina customers may contain sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra.
Primal Supplements Group LLC has issued a nationwide voluntary recall of its Primal Herbs Volume supplement after FDA laboratory testing confirmed the product contains sildenafil, a prescription‑only drug not listed on the label.
The recall covers all orders placed between July 2 and September 19, 2025, including shipments to customers in North Carolina

Sildenafil is the active ingredient in the FDA‑approved medication Viagra, which is restricted to use under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional. Undeclared sildenafil can interact with nitrate medications commonly taken by people with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease and may cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.
The recalled product was sold exclusively through primalherbs.com and packaged in 8.5 oz round containers with green labels
Customers who purchased Primal Herbs Volume during the affected timeframe should stop using it immediately and contact the company at hello@primalherbs.com or 856.420.6117 for a complimentary replacement or full store credit. The company states it will provide simple return instructions.
Consumers experiencing symptoms or concerns should contact a healthcare provider. Adverse reactions or quality issues may be reported to the FDA’s MedWatch program online or by mail or fax.
Primal Supplements Group LLC says it is conducting the recall voluntarily and “takes this matter very seriously,” emphasizing its commitment to product quality and consumer safety.
