Supply, NC — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Animal Protective Services (APS) will host the Partners in Paws event on Saturday, April 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Brunswick County Animal Shelter, located at 429 Green Swamp Road NW in Supply. APS invites families, friends, and animal lovers to a community day celebrating rescue work, responsible pet care, and the many animals looking for you…their forever.
This year’s event brings together a strong lineup of regional rescue and animal‑welfare partners:
Hamilton’s Healing Hearts, Inc. – North Carolina–based 501(c)(3) founded in 2021, Hamilton’s Healing Hearts focuses on senior, special‑needs, and medically fragile dogs and cats. The group provides rehabilitation, medical care, and adoption services for animals often overlooked in shelters.
Adopt-An-ANGEL – Serving the Wilmington region since 2004, Adopt-An-ANGEL has helped more than 11,000 cats and dogs find homes. The organization partners with shelters to save animals at risk of euthanasia and is known for its strong adoption programs and community outreach.
Fix A Friend Spay Neuter Clinic – Created by Adopt-An-ANGEL, Fix A Friend is a high‑volume, low‑cost spay/neuter clinic in Winnabow. Since opening in 2013, the clinic has performed more than 130,000 surgeries, helping reduce pet overpopulation across Southeastern North Carolina.
Hart‑2‑Heart Rescue – specializes in small‑breed and mixed‑breed dogs who may “fall between the cracks.” The foster‑based nonprofit provides medical support, rehabilitation, and permanent placement for dogs needing a second chance.
