RECALL ALERT: The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Vornado Air LLC, has announced a recall of about 255,000 SRTH Small Room Tower Heaters after reports of overheating, melting, and eight fires. One person suffered a smoke‑inhalation injury.
The recall involves heaters where a detached fan blade can reduce airflow and cause the unit to overheat. The heaters were sold nationwide from 2013 through 2026 through major retailers and online.
Consumers are urged to stop using the heater immediately and contact Vornado for a full refund. The company requires photos and proof of destruction as part of the recall process.
