Multiple fights and assaults reported Saturday night in the Main Street bar district.
MB, SC — Several North Myrtle Beach police officers were injured Saturday night while responding to multiple disturbances involving fights and assaults in the bar area of Main Street during Spring Bike Week, according to the department.
Police said several arrests were made as officers worked to break up the incidents. One officer was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation and is expected to recover.
City officials said police maintained a strong presence throughout the event and noted that most attendees celebrated responsibly.
