Overnight parking now prohibited; $50.00 fines begin immediately
OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC — The Ocean Isle Beach Board of Commissioners has approved a new parking ordinance that restricts parking at Town Center Park outside of the park’s established operating hours. The change was adopted during the board’s June 9, 2026 meeting and is now in effect.
Under the updated rules, vehicles may only park at Town Center Park during posted hours:
- In Season (April 1–October 31): 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Off Season (November 1–March 31): 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
According to the Ocean Isle Beach Police Department, vehicles parked outside these hours may receive a $50 citation. Officers will begin enforcing the ordinance immediately.
Parking will continue to be allowed during authorized Town‑sponsored events that are actively underway.
Town officials say the change is intended to keep the park safe, accessible, and properly maintained. Visitors are encouraged to check posted signage and plan their visits around the updated schedule.
