Drop in, say hello, and share a cup with local officers

OAK ISLAND, NC — Residents will have chance to connect with local officers in a relaxed, friendly setting as the Oak Island Police Department hosts its next Coffee with a Cop event on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Doodles Market & Convenience, located at 130 Country Club Drive.

The drop‑in event is designed to make conversations with officers easy and approachable. There are no presentations, no formal agenda, and no pressure, just an open invitation to share a cup of coffee and talk about the community, daily life, or anything on residents’ minds.
Organizers say the goal is simple: create space for genuine connection.

By stepping outside the traditional police‑station environment, officers hope to build trust, answer questions, and strengthen relationships with the people they serve.

Everyone is welcome to stop by, whether to ask a question, raise a concern, or simply enjoy a friendly chat. The event is sponsored and hosted by Doodle’s, which has partnered with the department to support community‑oriented outreach.

Residents can view and share the event through the Town of Oak Island’s website at OakIslandNC.gov/EVENTS
