March 7, 1963 — August 10, 2026
The family of Noreen Clark, 63, announces her passing on August 10, 2026, with deep gratitude for a life so beautifully lived. Born in New York in 1963, Noreen centered her world on family, generosity, and an infectious wit that made everyone feel welcome. To know Noreen was to feel valued and loved.
In 1982, Noreen married her lifelong love, Edward Clark. Together they built a home in Bay Shore, New York, and later Virginia, before retiring to Longs, South Carolina. While she was a devoted wife and mother to Edward Jr. (Jordan), Sean (Jessica), and Christina, her favorite title was “Grandma.” Her grandchildren, Aiden, Kaylee, Owen, Addison, Blake, Dixie, Suzie, Riley, and Jayden—were her greatest blessings. She famously kept an open-door policy, joking that “Grandchildren are always welcome; parents by appointment.”
Noreen was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick McKenna. She is survived by her siblings John, Kathy, Teresa, and Jean, as well as a remarkable circle of lifelong friends. In retirement, Noreen was rarely still—she loved planning worldwide adventures that Ed and her could enjoy together, playing golf, Wednesday Cards with “the girls” and Friday Bowling. She had a rare gift for turning strangers into friends and friends into family.
Though the world is quieter without her, Noreen’s spirit remains in every story told around the table. One of her favorite songs was Billy Joel’s “Only the Good Die Young,” and while 63 years was not enough, her impact was immeasurable.
Celebration of Life: Saturday, August 15, 2026, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at 977 Cat Briar Ct., Longs, SC 29568.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to pancreatic cancer research in Noreen’s memory.
