Nakina Middle School is celebrating the arrival of its new Media Coordinator, Mr. John Gore, whose diverse academic background and rich cultural experiences are expected to make a strong impact on students and staff alike.
Mr. Gore holds a master’s degree in library and information science and an associate degree in Theater Arts, an academic pairing that supports both the research driven and creative dimensions of the school’s media center. His professional path reflects a deep commitment to literacy, information access, and the arts, aligning closely with the school’s mission to cultivate curious, capable learners.
Before joining Nakina Middle School, Mr. Gore spent 20 years living in New Orleans, Louisiana. His time in the city fostered a profound appreciation for culture, history, and the arts perspectives he now brings into his work with the Mustang community. Colleagues describe him as thoughtful, enthusiastic, and eager to create a media center that inspires exploration and supports student success.
Outside of school, Mr. Gore enjoys reading and traveling. He considers the United Kingdom his favorite destination, drawn to its historic landscapes and rich literary heritage.
School leaders say they are excited to welcome him aboard and look forward to the energy, expertise, and creativity he will bring to Nakina Middle School.
