Mobile Pantry Expands February Outreach Across Brunswick County

Fresh food distribution brings support directly to neighborhoods; no appointment required

Brunswick Family Assistance’s Mobile Pantry is hitting the road throughout February, bringing fresh food directly to residents across Brunswick County. The program is designed to reach households facing food insecurity, especially those with limited transportation. No appointment is required at any mobile site.

 

The February schedule includes stops in Southport, Ash, Calabash, Holden Beach/Supply, Shallotte, and weekly service in Leland. Each location will host a two‑hour distribution window, with the exception of the Shallotte Treatment Center, where the time is still to be determined.

– Feb. 11 – Calabash Elks Lodge

– Feb. 12 – Sharon United Methodist Church

– Feb. 26 – Shallotte Treatment Center

Who Can Receive Assistance
BFA’s Mobile Pantry is open to all Brunswick County residents in need of food support. No documentation is required at mobile sites. For those seeking additional services through BFA, clients must meet the following guidelines:

– Brunswick County residency for at least 90 days
– Photo ID showing county residency
– Proof of income and expenses (updated annually)
– Any documents required for the specific type of assistance requested
