A quick act of care from Leland first responders brought comfort after a frightening fire.
Leland, NC — After a difficult day for one Leland family last week, first responders managed to deliver a small moment of good news.
Crews were called to a house fire where everyone inside was able to escape safely. Outside the home, a Leland Police Department officer and fire personnel turned their attention to the family’s beloved fur baby, using a specially designed pet oxygen mask to help stabilize the animal.
The feline made a full recovery and has since been reunited with its family.
A brief bit of relief on an otherwise frightening afternoon and a reminder of the compassion shown by Leland’s first responders.
