Smoke was reported coming from a two‑story middle‑unit townhome; cause remains under investigation
Leland, NC — The Town of Leland Fire Department and its auto‑aid partners responded Wednesday to a structure fire after smoke was reported coming from the front of a two‑story, middle‑unit townhome. Crews arrived to find smoke showing and quickly initiated a fire attack, bringing the fire under control shortly after entering the residence.
An investigation is underway to determine what caused the fire.
Responding agencies included Town of Leland Fire (all stations), Navassa Fire, N.W. Fire, Winnabow Fire, New Hanover County Fire Station 12, Wilmington Fire Station 1, the Town of Leland Police Department, and Brunswick County EMS.
