A Lake Waccamaw man was arrested by Whiteville Police on June 18 after failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor case.
Colby Andrew Mitchell, of 3929 Old Northeast Road, was charged with Failure to Appear on Misdemeanor, according to the detention center’s media report. His bond was set at $1,500 secured, and the case is listed as “Misdemeanor / Awaiting Trial.”
Failure to Appear warrants are issued when a defendant misses a scheduled court date. These warrants remain active until served, often resulting in immediate arrest during traffic stops or routine encounters with law enforcement.
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
