JoAnn Britt Garrell, 77, of Whiteville, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 30, 2026, in the Lower Cape Fear Angel House in Whiteville, NC.
A native of Chadbourn, JoAnn was born on October 30, 1948 , daughter of the late Charlie Nahue Britt and Maggie Lee Foley Britt. In addition, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis D. Garrell.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will speak to friends following the graveside service.
JoAnn leaves behind her children, Kimberly Garrell Staley and husband, Bobby, Melissa D. Fowler and husband, Jeff, Lewis Delane Garrell, Jr., Lisa Ward Cain and husband, Phillip; 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Linda Chenier (Billy), Patricia Garrell (Dick); special friends, Rose Watkins and Ann Meares; beloved dog, CoCo.
