Two new chaplains will support officers and staff across multiple precincts
CONWAY, SC — The Horry County Police Department has welcomed two new volunteer chaplains to its agency, adding Chaplain John Crapanzano and Chaplain Mitchell “Dennis” Reed to its chaplain team.
HCPD chaplains provide support to officers, professional staff, and community members during critical and often difficult moments. The department noted that both men bring a strong commitment to service, compassion, and faith.
Chaplain Reed will primarily serve Precinct 2, while Chaplain Crapanzano will primarily serve Precinct 3. As with all HCPD chaplains, both are available to assist anywhere in the agency when needed.
Residents and staff who meet Chaplain Reed or Chaplain Crapanzano are encouraged to offer a warm welcome and thank them for volunteering their time and expertise in service to the department and the community.
