A quick assist that shows how far “service” can go
Horry County, SC — Getting you where you need to go sometimes means exactly that.
Firefighter/EMT Snyder, from Horry County Fire Rescue’s Station 23 (University), recently made sure a stranded motorist wasn’t left stuck on the roadside.
Whether it’s helping with a flat tire, a dead battery, or as in this case getting a little fuel in the tank, public‑service calls are one of the many ways HCFR crews support residents and visitors.
These calls run the gamut, but they all share one thing: service. It’s a core value of The Horry Way, and it doesn’t clock out at sunset. Sometimes providing that service means stepping in during the middle of the night to help someone get safely back on their way.
Great job to Snyder and the Station 23 team for going above and beyond, day and night.
