Morning medical call leads to discovery of deceased woman; one person arrested
Conway, SC — The Conway Police Department has launched a homicide investigation after a woman was found deceased early Sunday morning in the 1400 block of 6th Avenue.
Around 7:40 a.m. on July 5, 2026, the City of Conway Fire Department responded to the address for a reported medical call. Once on scene, responders determined the situation involved a deceased female and requested assistance from Conway Police.
Officers arrived shortly afterward and confirmed the death. According to the department, one individual has been detained and arrested in connection with the incident.
