Hallsboro Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charges After Late‑Night Stop

WHITEVILLE — A Hallsboro man was arrested Tuesday night on felony drug charges following a traffic stop, according to the Columbus County Detention Center.

Ahmed Curtis Majeed, 28, of Hallsboro, was booked on April 28 and released the following day. He is charged with:

  • Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana (felony)
  • Driving while impaired
  • No operator’s license
  • Open container after consuming alcohol
  • Driving left of center

Majeed received $11,500 secured bond on the drug charge and $10,000 secured bond on the DWI charge. Additional traffic charges were listed as “included in other.”

He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
