RALEIGH — Organizers of the Got to Be NC Festival are urging vendors, exhibitors, and farm‑equipment enthusiasts to get their applications in as key deadlines approach for this year’s event, scheduled for May 15–17 at the N.C. State Fairgrounds.
According to festival manager Robert Fogle, Got to Be NC members have until Feb. 27 to apply for space inside the Got to Be NC Pavilion, located in the Agri Supply Exposition Center. The pavilion highlights North Carolina‑made foods, beverages, and specialty products and is open exclusively to members of the statewide agricultural branding program. “The Pavilion showcases Got to Be NC products, beverages and food samples and is only open to members of the program,” the release states.
Independent festival vendors, concessionaires, and suppliers face a March 1 deadline to secure space in the Graham Building or outdoor food areas. These spots typically feature a wide range of food offerings, retail items, and agricultural‑related products.
The festival is also seeking collectors of antique tractors and vintage farm equipment to help fill a display expected to feature more than 1,000 pieces of machinery. Owners of working tractors may also participate in the daily parade through the fairgrounds. Participation is free, but pre‑registration is required. “Tractors in working order also can participate in the daily tractor parade through the fairgrounds,” the release notes.
Applications for all categories — including concessions, commercial vendors, and Got to Be NC Pavilion exhibitors — are available online through the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
The annual Got to Be NC Festival is known for celebrating the state’s agricultural heritage. Visitors can browse antique farm equipment, shop for local products, enjoy food vendors across the fairgrounds, take in live music, and experience the carnival.
