George Wayne Benton, 88, of Cerro Gordo, passed away on Wednesday evening, May 6, 21026 at his residence.
Wayne was born on May 12, 1937, son of the late Hallie Timothy “H.T.” Benton and Nana Pervis Benton. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Sessue, Geraldine, Ray, Charles, and Margaret.
The surviving family includes his children, Christopher Mark Benton and wife, Rachael, Dicky Benton and wife, Julie, Michelle Watts and husband, Dee; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
