Mr. George Elbert Long, Jr. 75, of Whiteville passed on Friday, March 6, 2026, at his home. He was born May 28, 1950, in Columbus County, the son of the late George Elbert Long, Sr. and Eddie Mae Clewis Long.
His funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Ervin Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow at the R & B Long Family Cemetery, Crusoe Island, Whiteville, NC.
