Free Birthing Class Offered Today for Expectant Parents

WHITEVILLE — Expectant parents in Columbus County are invited to take part in a free birthing class this Saturday, March 21, as part of Columbus Regional Healthcare System’s year‑long series designed to help families prepare for a healthy and confident delivery experience.

The class, hosted by the Family Birthing Center, is open to pregnant patients and their partners at no cost. Participants will learn what to expect during labor and birth, along with guidance on the benefits of breastfeeding and how to get started successfully.

The session will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Baldwin Woods OB‑GYN, located at 221 Jefferson Street in Whiteville. Refreshments will be provided, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet the birthing‑center staff and take a guided tour.

Saturday’s class is one in a monthly series offered throughout 2026. Upcoming dates include:

The program began earlier this year with sessions held on January 17 and February 21.
