Fraud Charges Pile Up for Chadbourn Resident

Chadbourn NC – Ruther Stevens III, 47, of Chadbourn, was arrested by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office and faces a staggering number of fraud allegations. Detention center records show Stevens has been charged with ten separate felony counts of obtaining property by false pretense. He is currently awaiting trial on a $10,000 secured bond.
